Greetings.
I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.

I had spent quite a while doing nothing but adventuring. It had been some time since I built anything, so I decided to expand the village that serves as my base.

The existing village already covered a fairly large area. Instead of stretching it farther, I would build another village nearby.

Balancing adventure and development

Adventure tends to occupy most of my time in Minecraft. In the previous episodes, I had been exploring the rare Woodland Mansion.

The mansion gave me four Shulker Boxes full of items to bring home.

Items collected during the Woodland Mansion exploration

Now I could use some of those items in a new building project.

### Clearing land for the new village

I chose a location more than 64 blocks from what appeared to be the center of the main village. It was far enough away to form a separate village, but close enough that I could still see the old one.

The forested site chosen for the new village

As usual, the work began by flattening the land. This is hard work, but once I find a rhythm, it can become surprisingly enjoyable.

Land being cleared and leveled for construction

The main village stands in a Roofed Forest biome, so expansion also requires a great deal of tree cutting. My Efficiency-enchanted tools made quick work of it.

The foundation of the central house with patterned carpet

I laid the foundation for the house that would become the center of the new village. The carpets brought back from the Woodland Mansion gave the floor a more decorative finish.

### Building the central house

The new village house taking shape with wood and Terracotta

I built the house from wood and Terracotta. Since it would be the new village’s main building, I wanted it to feel spacious and comfortable.

The first floor decorated with a checked carpet pattern

The first floor used more mansion carpet in a checked pattern.

The second floor and log-cabin-style roof under construction

I laid the second-floor boards and then finished the roof in a log-cabin style.

An End Rod chandelier hanging on the second floor

The second floor even received a chandelier made from End Rods. I worked rather hard on this one, so I hoped the Villagers would use it.

The main village visible from the second-floor balcony

The balcony offered a full view of the main village. I would eventually like to add more buildings in the space between the two settlements.

The completed house at the center of the new village

The new village was complete, at least for now.

I moved two Villagers over from the main village to see how they liked it. I hoped this new place would feel like home.

That is all for this time.
Greetings.
