Greetings.
I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
With an Ocean Explorer Map in hand, I had finally reached an Ocean Monument.
The previous journey took me past a village and a desert temple before I found it.
Now it was time for OjiCra’s first exploration of this enormous structure beneath the sea.
I hoped it might feel like an enjoyable diving trip. Then an Elder Guardian welcomed me rather forcefully. It was much stronger than my relaxed mood had suggested.
Mining Fatigue III makes everything difficult

While I looked down through the water, a sudden impact surrounded me with a strange effect. This was Mining Fatigue III, an attack from the Elder Guardian.
Remaining near the monument was enough to be affected, which made it especially troublesome. The enemies here attacked from a distance, so hesitating above the water would not help.
I jumped in.
### Entering the structure beneath the sea

Once I descended, the monument’s full size became visible. It was enormous.

I reached the seabed and began by examining it from below. The green Prismarine gave the structure a fittingly mysterious appearance.

A Guardian appeared almost immediately. Its strange body looked like Prismarine covered in orange spikes.

When I moved close enough, it attacked with a beam. Underwater movement was already awkward, so ranged attacks were particularly unpleasant. A bow seemed useful here.

Many Guardians gathered around the lowest level, so I moved upward toward the center and broke through a wall to enter.

I became lost almost at once. The corridors looked so similar that I could not remember where I had already been. As in a cave, leaving markers would have been wise.

I found an interesting room, but decided to inspect it later. Mining Fatigue III made breaking blocks painfully slow. First, I needed to find the creature causing it.
### Fighting the Elder Guardians

While searching the corridors, I spotted what looked like a large tail around the corner.
That had to be it.

I charged forward and found an Elder Guardian directly in front of me. It seemed to have been waiting there. Startled, I attacked with my sword.

Defeating it unlocked an achievement. The translated name felt slightly strange, but this was no time to worry about that.

After defeating three Elder Guardians, I ended the exploration for the moment. My Potions of Water Breathing and Night Vision had run out because I had spent so long wandering through the corridors.

I was delighted to have collected the Sponge I wanted.
I would return to the village for more potions, then come back to continue exploring. With the Elder Guardians gone, perhaps next time I could finally gather the monument’s materials at a calmer pace.
That is all for this time.
Greetings.
