I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
Last time, I built a pale oak greenhouse in the castle town.
This time, I take a short break from building and look for Armadillos I have never met before.
I have heard their scutes can become Wolf Armor.
If I can make the armor, perhaps I will meet a wolf as well.
Finding Armadillos in the savanna
After walking away from the castle town, I reach a savanna of acacia trees.
The grass and the shape of the trees look very different here.
There they are!
Two Armadillos stroll slowly through the grass with round backs and short legs.
I happily run closer, and one rolls into a tiny ball.
I must have startled it a little (laughs).
This time I stay a little farther back and use a brush.
I collect the scutes I need little by little while watching the Armadillos.
Crafting Wolf Armor from scutes
Once I have six scutes, I head to the crafting table.
Can these little scutes really become armor for a wolf?
They can!
Brown Wolf Armor appears in my inventory.
Returning to town with an armored wolf
I still need a wolf, so I head for a taiga.
This time, one wolf becomes my companion with a single bone, and I put the finished armor on it right away.
It suits the wolf very well.
The little body looks safely wrapped and much more dependable.
Together, we make our way back to the castle town.
After travelling far, the familiar greenhouse is a comforting sight.
I start by looking for Armadillos, gather scutes, craft armor, and return with a new companion.
I am looking forward to spending time together in the castle town.
