Greetings.
I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.

Today I put on my elytra and set out from town.
Last time, I built a hillside shrine and a lantern-lined approach.
Now I would like to see something different beyond the sea.

A desert pyramid comes into view below.
From above, it looks rather small between the sandy hills.
Then, while looking down too much, I fall onto the sand.
I eat, recover, and set off again.
Perhaps I should spend a little less time admiring the view directly below me…
A mushroom island in the rain, and stew from a red cow

Red and brown caps appear through the rain over the sea.
A mushroom island!
It looks quite unlike a forest of trees, and I want a closer look.

I land beneath a giant mushroom.
Its thick stem and enormous cap make me look rather small.
More red mushrooms stretch into the rain; what a strange little world this is.
I sleep on the island and wake to a new morning.

Oh, even the cow has mushrooms growing on its back.
A red body, white patches, and mushrooms right up on its head.
This is a mooshroom.
According to Minecraft’s official mooshroom introduction, using a bowl gets you mushroom stew.
Time to try the bowl I brought along.

And there it is: a bowl of mushroom stew in my hand!
A red cow in front of me, giant mushrooms beyond it.
This feels like just the breakfast for a mushroom island.

Once I finish eating, the empty bowl remains in my hand.
My hunger is satisfied, and I take a little breather.
I came to admire the scenery and ended up being given breakfast too. Haha.
Bringing two mooshrooms home through the Nether

I build a Nether portal on the island for the journey home.
A purple doorway among the giant mushrooms.
This time, I would like to welcome two of the island’s mooshrooms to town.

The two red mooshrooms stand together by a Nether portal.
Even against this dark background, their mushrooms look just as they did on the island.
I bring these two back to town via the Nether.

Red cows in the pen make this familiar corner of town look a little different.
I feed both of them wheat, and a calf is born!
It is lovely to see the two newcomers become a family here.
A later visit: naming Beni, Mai, and Enoki
From here, we move to a later day.
I visit the town pen again to see how the family is doing.

A little face peeks out from beneath the two parents.
The calf beyond the fence is a red mooshroom too.
Between those two large adults, it looks especially small.

Now that they are here, let us give all three names.
At the anvil, I enter “Beni” on a name tag.
Looking at that red coat, the name seems to suit one of them.

The little calf is Enoki.
With a name floating above it between its parents, this is no longer just another red cow to me.
At this small size, it is hard not to stop and look a little closer.

One parent is Beni.
Enoki’s face is visible beside the adult too.
They have only just received their names, but seeing them side by side already feels rather familiar.

The other parent is Mai.
Beni takes its name from the red coat, Mai from maitake mushrooms, and the calf is Enoki.
When they turn toward me, I find myself wanting to call them by name. Haha.

I stand with the mooshrooms behind me for one last picture.
An island beyond the rainy sea has brought a red family to town.
An encounter over a bowl of stew leads all the way to naming three new companions; quite a pleasing outing.
Next comes Episode 100.
With more companions around, this town is becoming a lively place indeed.
That is all for this time.
Greetings.
