Greetings.
I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
Last time, in Episode 15, I gave bread to the villagers.
Then a baby villager appeared, and the village felt a little livelier.
Not just protected.
Alive again.
That made me very happy.
But the more important this village becomes, the more I start thinking.
I want this village to have a symbol.
So this time, I am taking on a much bigger goal.
I will build a Japanese castle beside the village.
…
This suited man built a castle.

Here I am in full iron armor.
Compared with the man I was at the start of this season, this looks rather serious.
When I wear iron armor, I feel as if I might be able to do something.
It may only be a feeling.
But feelings matter.
I Want to Build a Castle Beside the Village
Until now, village life has mostly been about surviving.
A bed.
A chest.
Torches.
Bread.
Villagers.
Each of those took effort to reach.
This time, I want to go one step beyond that.
I lit the village to help protect it.
I became a little closer to the villagers.
A baby villager was born.
So now, I want to make something large enough to say, "This is our village."
That is a very ambitious thought for this suited man.
Gathering Materials from the Forest and the Cave
First, wood.
For a castle, the white walls and dark roof are important, but so are the pillars and beams.
I head into the nearby forest and gather oak logs.

Here I am with an iron axe, standing by a tree.
Back in Episode 1, even collecting one tree felt dangerous.
Thinking about that, gathering wood with an iron axe feels like real progress.
Of course, the forest is still a little frightening.
Something could appear from behind the trees at any time.
But today, this is for the castle.
I will chop.
Next, I go into the cave.
Stone, iron, copper, and tuff.
I gather materials that might fit a Japanese-style castle.

Ore is visible in the dark cave.
Even with an iron pickaxe in my hand, caves still make me nervous.
The ground is dark.
The back of the cave is dark.
And I feel as if I heard something.
I would like that to be my imagination.
Still, a castle needs stone.
I would like to use tuff too.
And copper could become a nice accent.
So I gather materials carefully, while being afraid the entire time.
From Stone Base to Roofs, It Starts to Look Like a Castle
Once the materials are ready, construction begins.
The first thing to appear is the stone base and the first level.
Seeing it in the rain gives the whole scene a feeling of construction work in progress.

Oh…
This might really become a castle.
Just having a stone base changes the feeling completely.
It looks solid in a way the village houses do not.
After looking at small homes, paths, and fields for so long, this already feels very large.
And then, the roof.
This is where the Japanese-style look really begins to appear.

Curved dark roofs.
White walls.
The color of the supports.
And copper details.
Once the smaller parts become visible, it suddenly starts to feel right.
I like this kind of layered roof.
The way it rises upward is very satisfying.
Building a Japanese-style castle is enjoyable.
It is also a lot of work.

And there it is.
A five-tier castle keep.
This large building is standing beside the village.
…Really?
The same suited man who fell onto a forest and was defeated by zombies in Episode 1?
That man has a castle now?
Life is strange.
The Five-Tier Castle Stands Under the Blue Sky
Here is the completed castle in daylight.

A castle.
A five-tier Japanese castle keep now stands beside the village.
White walls and dark roofs under the blue sky.
A stone base below.
The village in the distance.
This is quite grand.
For a moment, I just went quiet.
Minecraft building is only placing blocks, one after another.
But when something is finished, the scenery suddenly changes.
The village no longer looks the same as it did yesterday.
It feels as if my wish to protect the village has taken a visible shape.
Of course, a castle does not make everything safe.
Night enemies and dark places still matter.
Even so, just being able to see this castle makes me feel a little more confident.
That much is true.
The Castle Windows Glow at Night
The daytime castle is good.
But the night view is good in another way.
When the windows light up, the castle shows a different face.

The castle at night.
This is… very nice.
It reminds me of when the dark village felt frightening.
Back then, night alone was enough to make me tense.
Zombies might come.
Spiders might come.
Would the villagers be all right?
Those were the only things I could think about.
Now, the village has the light of the castle at night.
It is still not completely safe.
But the village that used to feel so dark now has a large building with lights in it.
That makes me happy.
Very happy.
Looking Down at the Village from the Castle Keep
Once the castle is built, I want to see the view from above.
So I look down at the village from the keep.

High.
And easy to see.
The village homes.
The paths.
The fields.
The forest.
The places I have been walking through are all visible at once.
When I first found the village, I was simply happy.
After that, the nights became dangerous, and I felt sorry for not protecting the villagers well enough.
I placed torches, checked around the homes, shared bread, and saw a baby villager appear.
Now I am looking at that village from the top of a castle.
I feel something in my chest.
Next, I Want to Connect the Castle and the Village
This time, I built a five-tier Japanese castle beside the village.
I gathered wood from the forest and stone, iron, copper, and tuff from the cave.
Then, somehow, I reached this point.
That was a very big job.
For this suited man, I worked quite hard.

One bow with the castle behind me.
There is now a large building beside the village.
But the inside still needs work.
I also want to improve the area around the castle.
I want to make a path from the village to the castle.
If I can add a garden, lanterns, or even a small pond, the atmosphere should become even better.
What began as an effort to protect the village is slowly becoming an effort to help it grow.
Next time, I would like to improve the area around the castle and connect it more clearly with the village.
That is all for this time.
Greetings.
