I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
OjiCra is still taking place inside the mineshaft.
This huge mineshaft takes a very long time to explore properly.
So far, I have enjoyed searching for minecart chests, clearing the cave spider spawners unique to mineshafts, and collecting rare items and spawner blocks.
This time, I will look for precious ore inside and around the mineshaft.
Because this mineshaft is deep underground, it turned out to be quite a good place for finding diamonds.
Down to the Lower Floor with a Fortune Pickaxe
I had been enjoying the things that make mineshafts special.
The monster spawners and the cave spider areas were exciting, dangerous, and very mineshaft-like.
At first, exploring my first mineshaft made me nervous.
Once I got used to it, though, I started to notice just how many different things were hidden there.
Now that the main floor and the upper areas were mostly explored, I headed down to the lower floor.
Sometimes there are stairs leading downward in a mineshaft.
Even when there are not, digging through the floor can reveal another level.
From above, I could already see ore in the lower area.
So I brought a pickaxe with Fortune on it.
A Lower Floor Full of Valuable Ore
Down below, I was welcomed by the usual underground sounds.
Zombies groaning.
Skeletons rattling.
Exactly as expected, they were waiting for me.
There was lava flowing in many places too, so if a monster pushed me from behind, I could easily go straight into it.
I dealt with enemies whenever I saw them.
First, redstone.
Then gold.
And lapis lazuli too.
There was so much ore that simply walking around was fun.
Whenever my inventory filled up, I returned to the temporary base and put everything into the chests.
While mining gold, I opened a hole in the ground.
I looked down into it and saw something wonderful.
Diamonds.
I climbed down to collect them.
Diamonds are the one thing I really do not want to drop into lava, so I made the area safe first and then mined them carefully.
I found diamonds in other places too.
I enjoy cave exploration in general, but diamond mining is still one of the biggest events.
That moment when I secure the area and start mining diamonds is just wonderful.
By the end of this exploration, I had mined 70 diamonds.
More than a full stack.
That is the best result I have ever had.
