I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
After all that preparation, I finally entered the End to face the Ender Dragon. The trip began on a small island, with the main island still far away.
Trying to reach the main island
I threw an Ender Pearl toward the larger island, but I could not land on its surface. I had to work my way upward through End Stone while trying not to look directly at the Endermen around me.
Eventually, I reached the surface. The obsidian pillars were there, and the Ender Dragon was truly flying overhead. For a moment, it felt as though the fight was about to begin.
A very short first battle
Then the dragon attacked. I was knocked back toward the edge, and before an Ender Pearl could save me, I fell into the void.
That was everything: diamond gear, supplies, and all the confidence I had brought with me.
Starting over again
Back at the village, I began rebuilding: diamond armor, experience, enchantments, and supplies. It is frustrating, but there is nothing else to do. The Ender Dragon is still there.
I will try again.
