Greetings.
I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
Adventure is one of the foundations of Minecraft. Since arriving in this world, I have explored caves, traveled across nearby biomes with my horse, and even ventured into the Nether and the End.
Finding an Elytra on an End ship greatly expanded how far I could travel. This time, I am using it to search for the Woodland Mansion that I failed to reach before.
Searching with a Woodland Explorer Map
My first attempt ended badly. I obtained a Woodland Explorer Map by trading with a Cartographer Villager and immediately set out on a newly bred mule. The mansion was much farther away than expected, and a Creeper explosion killed the mule along the way.
I eventually abandoned that expedition and walked sadly back to the village.

Today, I picked up the map again to put that unpleasant memory behind me.
It would be all right this time. I had an Elytra now.
### Flying toward the Woodland Mansion with the map

I already knew the mansion was far away, so I prepared Firework Rockets made from paper and gunpowder.

I equipped the Elytra and launched from the sky mob farm that had refused to work in the previous episode.
I had only recently taken my first gliding flights with this Elytra.
This would be my first real long-distance journey through the air.

I kept moving while watching the position marker on the map.

I also watched the ground in case something interesting appeared. When I found a village, I landed for a short visit. There is no fun in ignoring everything along the way.

After flying for a long time, the marker on the map suddenly began to move. I was finally close.
The Elytra carried me past the target very quickly, so I flew back and forth while slowing down.

Then I descended and saw it: the Woodland Mansion!
It was an enormous building standing in the middle of the forest. After failing to find it once before, finally seeing it felt wonderful.

The closer I came, the more impressive it looked.

This was clearly going to take a while to explore.

I built a temporary camp nearby and took a short rest. From here, I would be spending a great deal of time inside the mansion.
The exploration begins in the next episode.
That is all for this time.
Greetings.
