Greetings.
I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
Last time, I explored an Ocean Monument for the first time and defeated three Elder Guardians.
The battle itself went well enough, but I became so thoroughly lost that my potions ran out. I returned to the village to restock before beginning the second half of the exploration.
This time, I wanted to gather materials and search for the rumored Sponge room.
Restocking potions for the Ocean Monument

Back at the village, I collected more Potions of Water Breathing and Night Vision.

With a longer supply, I would have plenty of time to mine. This was my first Ocean Monument, and I wanted to bring home its unusual building materials.
### Searching for a Sponge room and collecting materials

I returned to the monument, drank my potions, and dived into the sea once more.

I opened a hole in the roof and entered from above. Sea Lanterns and Sponges were my main targets, and I searched carefully for a Sponge room.
With the Elder Guardians already defeated, I could now gather materials wherever I found them.

I began with Prismarine. It looked useful for any building that needed a temple-like atmosphere.

Next, I broke into the thick pillar in the room that had caught my attention earlier.

Gold Blocks were hidden inside. Discoveries like this are always exciting.

I collected every Sea Lantern I could find for future building projects.
Then came the disappointing news. I searched throughout the interior and even broke through walls from both sides, but this monument had no Sponge room.
I would have to find another Ocean Monument someday.

Many Guardians still occupied the lowest level. After dealing with a few of them, I returned to the surface.

The final collection included plenty of Ocean Monument materials. I was already thinking about ways to use the Sea Lanterns in a building.
I had also collected three Sponges from the Elder Guardians, so the trip was hardly a failure.

That completed my first Ocean Monument exploration.
Minecraft contains so many strange structures, and exploring them remains a delight. I still wanted to find a Sponge room, so another monument journey would surely come someday.
That is all for this time.
Greetings.
