Greetings.
I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

In the previous episode, I went to see the Warden and lost everything.
A complete loss still hurts, no matter how many times one survives it.

My full Netherite armor and best tools were gone, so I had to begin again.
When I checked how to rebuild them, I discovered that the process for making Netherite equipment had changed.

I set out to gather ancient debris first.
After finally collecting enough, I ended the expedition by falling straight into lava.

Starting again with equipment and tools

My audience with the Warden ended in a complete loss.

The second failed attempt to recover items from the Warden

I had underestimated the Warden.
I thought hiding behind blocks would protect me, only to learn that its sonic attack passed straight through them.

Standing without the Netherite gear lost in the deep dark

My Netherite equipment and every other first-choice item were gone.

Crafting replacement diamond armor and tools

I began with new diamond equipment and tools.
Then I gathered experience and added enchantments.

### Gathering ancient debris for new Netherite equipment

It had been a long time since I made Netherite equipment.
While researching ancient debris, I learned that the upgrade process had changed.

I now needed smithing templates from a bastion remnant.
Each upgrade consumed one template, so I would also need spare copies.
Duplicating one required seven diamonds.

The cost had risen dramatically while I was away.

Preparing beds before traveling into the Nether

Collecting the ancient debris alone was already difficult.
Still, I carried as many beds as I could and entered the Nether.

Calculating the ancient debris needed for nine Netherite upgrades

I wanted to upgrade nine pieces of equipment, which meant I needed nine Netherite ingots.
Each ingot required four Netherite scraps, so my target was thirty-six pieces of ancient debris.

Placing a bed in a Nether tunnel to search for ancient debris

I used bed explosions to open the surrounding netherrack.

The blast from a bed exploding in the Nether

The explosions were dramatic.
I could have mined with a pickaxe, but I preferred this method because hidden lava often caused trouble.

The first ancient debris exposed by a bed explosion

The first piece appeared quickly.
The article information I followed placed ancient debris around heights eight through twenty-two.

Digging around one ancient debris block to check for more

When one block appeared, I carefully dug around it because more could be nearby.

Three ancient debris blocks found together

Finding three together was especially satisfying.

Searching a newly blasted tunnel for exposed ancient debris

Checking each crater was always tense.
Sometimes the explosions revealed nothing at all.

Thirty-seven pieces of ancient debris collected in the inventory

Eventually, I reached thirty-seven pieces and ended the search.
It had taken a long time.

I was delighted and ready to return to the base.
Immediately afterward, I stepped into a hole.

Falling into a lava pool after the ancient debris expedition

I fell into lava and could not climb back out.

Although I was devastated, ancient debris would not burn in lava.
I returned to the village, brewed a Potion of Fire Resistance, and came back to the Nether.

I remembered the approximate location, drank the potion, and jumped into the lava to search.

Ancient debris safely recovered after diving into the lava

In my panic, I did not notice the exact moment I picked it up.
Still, the ancient debris was safely back in my inventory.

I narrowly avoided losing the result of hours of work.
The journey is not over until one gets home, and this was a painful reminder never to relax too soon.

That is all for this time.
Greetings.
