Greetings.
I am a man who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
In OjiCra Season 3, I found a shipwreck by the sea.
I looked inside the half-sunken ship, opened a chest, and found Diamonds and Emeralds.
Then I found a treasure map marked with a red X.
An X on a map.
I had to follow it.
So in the next episode, I used that treasure map to travel far from home and dug up buried treasure beneath the sand.
Inside was the Heart of the Sea.
The name alone made it sound extraordinary.
Based on the shipwreck in OjiCra Season 3 Episode 17 and the buried treasure hunt in Episode 18, this memo looks at Minecraft shipwrecks, treasure maps, buried treasure, and the Heart of the Sea from my beginner’s point of view.
In a Shipwreck, I Wanted to Find Chests and a Treasure Map
While walking beside the sea, I found a half-sunken ship in a small inlet.
It was a shipwreck.
In Minecraft, shipwrecks are structures that generate underwater or near beaches.
Minecraft’s official description says a shipwreck can contain up to three chests depending on its condition, with supplies, treasure, or map-related items inside.
But when I actually found one, my first thoughts were rather different.
It was underwater.
It was broken.
Was it really safe to go inside?
I hesitated for a moment.
But there might be a chest.
That thought was enough to send me toward the ship.
Looking inside, I could see different colors of wood and shapes that resembled parts of the deck and frame.
It was not a complete ship.
That was exactly what made it feel like an exploration.
Even its appearance made the shipwreck an enjoyable structure to discover.
The Chests May Contain Ores and Food
The most exciting part of a shipwreck is, of course, the chests.
In OjiCra Season 3 Episode 17, I found one inside the ship.
When I opened it, I found Diamonds, Emeralds, Gold, and Iron.
My fortunes had improved very suddenly.
For someone who had once fallen onto a tree and fled from Zombies, this shipwreck chest was extremely welcome.
The contents are not always the same, of course.
Still, shipwrecks may hold food, fuel, ores, and items that lead to a treasure map.
If I see a mass of wood beside the sea, it may be worth taking a closer look instead of dismissing it as scenery.
There may also be hostile mobs in the water or in dark areas.
If I focus only on the chest, whatever is behind me becomes rather worrying.
That is a very important point in OjiCra.
The Red X Was the Mark to Follow on the Treasure Map
The treasure map was the most exciting thing I found in the shipwreck.
When I held it, I could see a red X on the map.
That was irresistible.
A single red X on a map was enough to begin another adventure.
A treasure map points toward the location of buried treasure.
It can be found in places such as shipwrecks and ocean ruins, and the journey involves heading toward the red X.
The map did not immediately tell me exactly where to go, however.
Which way was I moving?
Was I getting closer to the X?
Was the destination in the sea, a forest, or a beach?
Walking while watching the map kept me rather busy.
But this feeling of traveling far while following a map was wonderfully Minecraft-like.
I enjoyed it very much.
I Followed the Treasure Map Toward the Red X
In Episode 18, I set out with the treasure map I had found in the shipwreck.
The map was in my left hand.
My tools were in my right.
At least I felt like an adventurer.
At first, simply leaving the village made me nervous.
But with a treasure map, I had a reason to continue.
I crossed a forest.
I reached the shore.
I also passed through a place that looked like a taiga.
As I walked while watching the map, I began to wonder whether I was finally getting closer.
I still made detours.
Materials still caught my attention.
And darkness was still frightening.
The treasure hunt was less glamorous and more unsettling than I had imagined.
But the red X was still there.
So I kept going.
The Buried Treasure Was Beneath the Sand
Once I reached the red X, it was time to dig.
In OjiCra, I dug into a sandy area beside the sea.
Even with a treasure map, there was no sign in the ground saying, "Dig here."
Was it here?
A little farther to the side?
Or deeper down?
I kept digging through the sand that way.
A Shovel made this much easier.
The words "treasure hunt" had made me imagine something more glamorous.
The reality involved a great deal of sand.
So much sand.
But beneath it…
There it was.
A treasure chest.
The adventure that began with a map had truly led to treasure.
I was delighted.
Part of me had wondered whether it really existed.
The Heart of the Sea Was the Most Important Item in the Buried Treasure
When I opened the buried treasure chest, there were several items inside.
The Heart of the Sea.
Iron.
Gold.
Diamond.
Emerald.
A Potion of Water Breathing.
This was proper treasure.
The Heart of the Sea was the most important item among them.
Minecraft’s official description says the Heart of the Sea is needed to craft a Conduit.
A Conduit is a special block that can help with breathing and visibility underwater.
In other words, the Heart of the Sea seemed likely to become important if I ever built a base in the ocean or explored underwater.
It may still have been a little advanced for me.
Even so, I was happy simply to have it.
It has such a wonderful name.
Here I am holding the Heart of the Sea.
The treasure map is in my left hand.
The Heart of the Sea is in my right.
The ocean is behind me.
Considering that I began Episode 1 stranded on top of a forest, I had come a very long way.
My Shipwreck and Treasure Map Checklist
After following the trail from shipwreck to buried treasure, these are the things I would try to remember next time:
- Search the interior for chests after finding a shipwreck
- Check nearby hostile mobs and the safety of the water before opening a chest
- After finding a treasure map, move gradually toward the red X
- Carry food and tools because the journey may be long
- Bring a Shovel because there may be a great deal of sand to dig
- Stay alert until the treasure has been carried safely home
- Store the Heart of the Sea somewhere safe because it seems important
I cannot promise that I will manage all of these things.
Still, the journey from a shipwreck to a treasure map, buried treasure, and the Heart of the Sea was tremendous fun.
It gave me another reason to explore the Minecraft shoreline.
