Greetings.
I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
Last time, I used a Raiser Smithing Template to add copper trim to my netherite armor.
This time, I am wearing that commemorative armor as I take on a raid in the castle town.
My goal is to protect the villagers, defeat an Evoker, and obtain a Totem of Undying.
Sheltering the villagers and finding an Ominous Bottle
Before starting the raid, I gathered all seven villagers inside their lodging.

I made sure raiders could not enter through the doors, putting the villagers’ safety first.
Once everything was ready, I headed to a Pillager Outpost.
Beyond the grass stood a Raid Captain carrying a banner.

When I defeated the captain with my bow, it dropped an Ominous Bottle.

The official Minecraft: Java Edition 1.21 release notes explain that a Raid Captain defeated outside a raid drops an Ominous Bottle.
Drinking it gives the Bad Omen effect, which changes into Raid Omen for 30 seconds when the player enters a village.
The bottle I drank this time gave me Bad Omen III.

All that remained was to return to the castle town.
The raid begins in the castle town
Shortly after entering the village, a red raid bar appeared at the top of the screen.

The real raid had begun.
In the first wave, Pillagers advanced from the hill toward the town.

I readied my bow, but buildings and uneven terrain kept many of my arrows from reaching them.

Moving closer meant fighting axe-wielding Vindicators.

Surrounded by the group, I was defeated during the fighting.
This was not a smooth attempt. Even so, I recovered my equipment and returned to the battlefield.
Defeating an Evoker and obtaining a Totem of Undying
As the raid continued, I finally spotted an Evoker.

The official Meet the Evoker article explains that an Evoker drops a Totem of Undying when defeated.
Getting close while enemies were packed together was dangerous, however.
When I checked the lodging between battles, the villagers were still safe inside while the raid bar remained on screen.

The first raid attempt ended by timeout without a victory message.
I did not receive Hero of the Village either, so I cannot call it a victory.
I reconsidered my approach and built a stone watchtower overlooking the castle town.

I took on the raid again and finally defeated an Evoker.
I picked up the Totem of Undying that dropped onto the ground, completing my goal for this episode.

This raid also ended by timeout before the final victory announcement.
In the final attempt, all seven villagers sheltered in the lodging were safe, along with Shiro, Yuki, Maru, and Dango.
It was not a complete raid victory, but I protected my companions in that final raid and brought home a Totem of Undying that had actually dropped from the Evoker.
After being defeated so many times, the small totem in my hand looked especially reassuring.
That is all for this time.
Greetings.
