I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
This time, I am returning to the mineshaft beneath the village.
The previous trip ended after my inventory filled with ores and items from minecart chests. Now I have cleared some space and am heading back in with great enthusiasm.
Almost immediately, however, a witch attacked from behind. Poison slowly drained my health, and when I fled down the passage, I reached a dead end.
There was also a creeper waiting there.
Caught between the witch and the creeper, I suffered my first death in this world.
Preparing to explore the rest of the mineshaft
Still excited by the previous expedition, I tried speaking to a villager. The response was not especially warm, but never mind. I was only back to organize my inventory.
I prepared plenty of torches for the trip.
There would be a lot of mining too, so I brought extra pickaxes. Then I marched back into the mineshaft, ready to gather everything I could find.
Cornered by a witch and a creeper
I wanted to explore every corner this time. My confidence was high as I walked through the wooden passages.
Then I heard something behind me.
A bottle shattered, and suddenly I was poisoned. That unsettling voice behind me belonged to a witch. I really do not like witches.
This was bad. I ran along the passage to escape.
Unfortunately, the passage ended.
And above the dead end was a familiar green figure.
You must be joking.
On one side, the creeper was about to explode.
On the other, the witch kept throwing potions. Being trapped between those two was the worst possible situation.
And there it was: my first death in this world. They had completely trapped me.
To make matters worse, I had respawned at the original starting point. I began the sad walk back to my base village.
I hurried back underground and managed to avoid losing my items. The witch had gone quiet, so I resumed the exploration.
Almost immediately, I found another minecart chest.
I did not have any lapis lazuli yet, so that was especially welcome. The gold was good too.
After that, there were no more major incidents. The mineshaft was enormous, but I believe I managed to look through most of it.
I may have died once, but it was still a very enjoyable mineshaft adventure.
