I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
This time, I am building a lodging house in the base village.
I want more villagers to live here, so the building will hold a row of beds. The villagers began using it as soon as it was finished, which made me very happy.
The village is steadily becoming a livelier place.
My first building project in this world
Last time, I explored by donkey and found two more villages, bringing the total to five.
I returned with useful items from those villages. With my supplies growing, it was time for the first proper building project in this world.
I chose a spot near the center of the village and planned to build a lodging house where the villagers could gather.
A new home with plenty of beds
I started with the foundation. Several villagers came over to watch the work.
I adjusted the layout as the shape began to emerge.
Stairs went along the side of the foundation.
Then I raised a frame with logs.
I was still deciding how the finished building should look, so I repeatedly stepped back to judge the whole shape.
For the walls, I used terracotta brought back from another village.
Once the roof was in place, I used a campfire to make a smoking chimney. Yes, that looked good.
A few final decorations completed the exterior. For someone who struggles with building, I thought it turned out rather well.
The village lodging house was complete. Inside, the design was simple: plenty of beds for the residents.
Villagers gathered there immediately, and the population began to grow. Building is not my strongest skill, but seeing them use the place made the effort worthwhile.
