It has been quite a while since I stepped into a brand-new world.
This time, I am beginning a fresh survival life from nothing.

It seems this story may really begin with falling.
First, I Look Around
I return to first-person view and check my surroundings.
Trees as far as I can see.
Oak, perhaps.
I can see some birch as well.
Far away, there also seems to be something like the sea.
There is a pale rocky area too, so the scenery is honestly quite nice.
There is one problem, though.
I am high up.
I look down.
Hmm.
If I simply drop from here, that looks painful.
Or rather, it does not only look painful.
It probably will be painful.

First, get down from the tree (laughs)
A Bee Is Flying Nearby
As I carefully look around, something is flying.
A bee.
Oh.
There is a bee here.
It is flying calmly right in front of a man who owns absolutely nothing.
This is cute.
It is cute, yes, but at the moment I am stranded on top of a tree.
I may look as if I have time to watch bees, but I really do not (laughs)
Still, these little discoveries are fun.
They make it feel like I have truly arrived in a new world.
Carefully Climbing Down
I walk over the leaves and search for a place where I might be able to climb down little by little.
Leaves under my feet.
A forest below.
One wrong step, and I may fall.
I thought Minecraft was a game where you start by punching trees.
This time, the tree is saving me and trapping me at the same time.
It is a strange beginning.
Somehow, I reach a place where normal ground looks close.
Good.
Ground.
My health is still fine.
…Or so I thought.
Then I notice something important.
It is already evening.
And Then, a Zombie
While I am trying to chop wood, the area grows darker.
I still have no wooden tools.
Of course, I have no armor.
I have no food either.
In that state, inside a forest.
This is not good.
And then…
I died…
A zombie.
The first death of Season 3.
Too soon.
Much too soon (laughs)
I had not even properly collected an oak log yet, let alone made a crafting table.
Well.
Minecraft does not hold back.
After Respawning, I Was Holding Rotten Flesh
I pull myself together and respawn.
The forest again.
And I am holding something.
Rotten flesh.

Why (laughs)
It seems to be a parting gift from the zombie.
The man who was supposed to have died has returned to the forest, clutching only rotten flesh.
What a difficult beginning.
Still, this time I want to actually cut wood.
Without wood, nothing can begin.
Finally, an Oak Log
I head toward a nearby oak tree.
There it is.
An oak log.
The first step in Minecraft.
I punch it with my bare hand.
With my bare hand.
A suited man punches a tree with his bare hand.
I got it!
Finally.
The first log of Season 3.
It took me one death to get this far.
The road ahead looks difficult (laughs)
I also pick up the dropped log.
It went into the hotbar.
Good, good.
Now I am a little closer to a crafting table.
Let me take one more log while I can.
Two logs.
It is still not much, but it is not zero.
Not zero.
That matters.
I Wanted Just a Little More Wood
In the darkening forest, I look for more trees.
The screen is dark.
It is already night.
My health is low.
But I still want wood.
That was not a good decision.
It seems something was approaching through the forest.
And then…
A creeper.
I was blown up…
The second death, in the very first episode of Season 3.
Well.
This is terrible (laughs)
It began on top of a tall tree.
I found a bee.
A zombie got me.
I finally managed to hold two oak logs.
And then, a creeper.
I still have not made a crafting table.
Next Time, a Crafting Table
What I managed to do this time:
I climbed down from the top of the forest.
I found a bee.
I collected two oak logs.
And I died twice.
…
Is this growth (laughs)
But this is Minecraft too.
The fact that things do not go as planned is part of the fun.
Next time, I need to focus on safety first.
Do not underestimate the forest at night.
Do not push forward when health is low.
Once I have wood, make a crafting table immediately.
After that, if possible, I would like to build a temporary shelter while it is still bright.
Season 3 has begun with quite a harsh start.
But this is where it begins.
