Greetings.
I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.

Last time, I finished a post town road linking the castle town and my Japanese-style inn.

Leaving the Post Town Road with Azuki

The suited man setting out on Azuki beside the post town gate

This time, the new road becomes the beginning of an expedition.
I bring Azuki out from the inn stable and prepare to ride beyond the wooden gate.

Looking back at the gate and castle town from the end of the post town road

From the end of the road, the inn and castle keep line up beyond the gate.
Ahead of me, the built road fades into open grassland.

The lakeshore reached on horseback with Azuki

Riding south across the grass brings me to a broad lake.
Dense trees cover the far shore, where the landscape seems ready to change.

The suited man standing with Azuki beside the lake

Azuki will wait here by the water.
I will cross the lake alone and see what lies beyond it.

An oak boat made for crossing the lake

I make an oak boat at the shore.
It is time to cross the water and take a closer look at those distant trees.

Crossing the Lake into the Jungle

Landing at the vine-covered edge of a jungle

The far shore opens into a dense forest draped with vines.
I have finally reached a jungle!

The lake seen from the jungle shore after landing

I look back across the lake from the landing place.
The castle town is out of sight now, with only grassland beyond the water.

Towering jungle trees covered in vines

Inside the forest, enormous trunks rise far above my head.
Leaves and vines cover the sky, making this feel like a different world from the plains.

Gathering Cocoa, Melons, and Bamboo

Ripe cocoa pods growing on a jungle trunk

Brown cocoa pods grow directly from the jungle trunks.
They are unlike anything around the castle town, so I collect some for the journey home.

Melons and cocoa growing together in the jungle

Melons lie on the ground with more cocoa nearby.
New plants appear one after another as I move through the forest.

Cutting a jungle log with an axe

I cut a few jungle logs to use when these plants reach the castle town.
The foliage is so thick that it is hard to see where one tree ends and the next begins.

A view of the lake and giant trees from the jungle canopy

From the top of a giant tree, I can see the lake through the leaves.
The landing shore and open water stretch out together below me.

The green jungle canopy seen from high in the trees

In the other direction, treetops continue deep into the jungle.
The dark forest floor has become a rolling green sea from up here.

Bamboo growing among the jungle trees

A patch of bamboo stands straight among the vines and leaves.
I add several stalks to the cocoa and melons I am taking home.

Jungle saplings collected from the leaves

After searching through the leaves, I collect two jungle saplings.
A giant tree needs four, so increasing this small supply will become my next challenge.

Coming Home with a Gray Parrot

A gray parrot found on the jungle floor

While looking for the way back, I spot a gray parrot in the grass.
Its small figure watching me from below brings the expedition to a sudden pause.

The suited man with the tamed gray parrot on his shoulder

After a few wheat seeds, the parrot hops onto my shoulder!
My new jungle companion will travel home with me.

Crossing the lake by boat on the way home

With the parrot beside me, I cross the lake once more.
Azuki is waiting on the far shore for the final ride north.

Riding Azuki north along the route to the post town

I ride Azuki back across the grassland.
When the new post town road appears ahead, the long trip finally feels close to home.

Azuki back inside the stable at the inn

Azuki settles back into the stable beside the inn.
The ride to the lake and back is complete.

The suited man home at the inn with a parrot on his shoulder and Azuki nearby

At the inn, Azuki and the parrot are together in one lively scene.
It is a much busier homecoming than when I left.

The materials collected during the jungle expedition

The expedition brings back 12 cocoa beans, 10 melon slices, 6 bamboo, 4 jungle logs, 3 jungle planks, and 2 saplings.
Next, I want to make a place near the castle town where these plants and my new parrot can live.

That is all for this time.
Greetings.
