Greetings.
I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
After finding a village and making it my base, I spent a while exploring the nearby area.
I went into caves, found a monster spawner near the village, and gathered more resources than before.
So this time, I decided to aim a little higher.
The destination was the Nether.
According to the words of the heavens, Minecraft has another dimension besides the normal world.
It is dangerous, apparently.
Well then.
That sounds like exploration.
Building a Nether Portal
To reach the Nether, I needed a Nether portal.
The portal is made by surrounding a vertical opening with obsidian and lighting it with flint and steel.
Once lit, a purple portal appears with a rather unsettling sound.

Obsidian takes time to prepare.
Instead of mining every block with a diamond pickaxe, I brought lava in a bucket and turned it into obsidian with water.
Flint and steel came from one iron ingot and one piece of flint.
That all sounds very calm when written down, but standing in front of the portal felt different.
It looked like a doorway to somewhere I should not casually enter.
The First Step Into the Nether
I stepped into the portal.
The view warped, and the normal world faded away.
This was my first trip to the Nether in OjiCra.
What kind of place would I arrive in?

The first step was already frightening.
The portal had appeared close to the edge of a cliff.
Below it was a sea of lava.
Then I heard a strange sound and saw a ghast floating nearby.
If the portal were broken, I would be in real trouble.
So I quickly protected it with cobblestone.

That was scary.
Very scary.
The cliff side looked too dangerous, so I began exploring in the opposite direction.
The Nether was covered in netherrack, with strange sounds coming from every side.
I moved forward slowly, feeling uneasy the whole time.
Gathering Nether Resources
The Nether is dangerous, but it also has materials that cannot be found in the normal world.
I found Nether quartz, which can be useful in many places.

I also found glowstone.
It was up high and not easy to collect, but it can be used for lighting, so I wanted to bring some home.

This time, I had brought a Silk Touch pickaxe.
So I collected what I could see.
The suited man was frightened, but he was also greedy.
Wait, Is That a Nether Fortress?
After exploring for about ten minutes, I had barely gone anywhere because I kept stopping to mine.
Then I looked down from a cliff.
There was something that looked like a structure.

Is that a Nether fortress?
It was only about ten seconds on foot from the Nether portal.

I had planned to gather Nether resources and then spend a while developing the village.
But this was a very happy surprise.
Next time, perhaps I should go inside that fortress.

That is all for this time.
Greetings.
