Once we could move cargo through the air, the next thing we needed was a place to receive it.
This time, we will carry supplies to a mountaintop overlooking the castle town and build an air cargo station where Shiro can stop.
Planning a Station on a Mountaintop Above the Castle Town
I climbed a mountain west of the castle town and found a view of the keep and the surrounding houses beyond the trees.
This looked like a good place for our air cargo service to arrive.
I decided to add an overlook as well, so we could rest while looking down at the castle town instead of making only a landing area.
First, I returned to town and loaded the building materials into a chest boat.
Stone bricks, polished andesite, pale oak, deepslate tiles, and lanterns.
With everything for the mountaintop build packed together, we were ready to fly.
Airlifting Shiro and the Cargo About 63 Blocks
I attached the chest boat full of supplies to Shiro, and we set off.
The load swayed slowly beneath Shiro as we made our way toward the mountain.
The distance we flew this time was about 63 blocks.
Being able to carry a whole chest boat to a high place without a road was very useful.
When we reached the mountaintop, I opened the chest to check the cargo.
The materials we had loaded were still there.
After unloading everything safely, it was time to start building the station.
Building a Landing Pad and an Overlook
The station’s foundation measures 13 by 9 blocks.
I placed a 7-by-7 landing pad beside a 5-by-7 overlook.
The middle of the landing pad is kept open, while fences and lanterns mark its edges.
For the overlook next to it, I combined pale oak posts and beams with a white calcite wall and a deepslate tile roof.
Looking east from the overlook, we can see the castle keep, the houses, and even the farm below.
It is a view we could only get by coming all the way up the mountain.
Inside, I added benches, barrels, a crafting table, and two lanterns hanging from the roof.
It is a small rest area where we can put down cargo and prepare for the next flight.
The hanging sign reads, "Castle Town Air Cargo Station."
A New Destination for the OjiCra Air Cargo Service
With the station finished, Shiro approached it while carrying the chest boat.
We passed beside the roof and headed toward the open landing pad.
Shiro and the cargo now have a proper place to arrive on the mountaintop.
At the end of the day, I stood in front of the chest boat for a commemorative photo at the station.
This time, Shiro and I airlifted building materials about 63 blocks and built a mountaintop air cargo station.
Beside the landing pad, we also completed an overlook with a view of the castle town.
The OjiCra air cargo service we started in Episode 43 now has a dependable new destination.
