Greetings.
I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.

Last time, I made a Nanban botanical garden beside the inn and welcomed jungle plants into the castle town.

This time, I dig a staircase down from the west side of town.
I leave a small work spot above ground and head into the darkness below.

From the Western Meadow to a Dungeon Peephole

A crafting table and furnace at the entrance to the western underground stairs

I set down a crafting table and furnace in the western meadow.
With charcoal cooking and torches being made as I work, the stair entrance becomes a tiny workshop of its own.

Looking back up the underground staircase lit by torches

Looking back, torchlight reaches all the way toward the surface.
Just knowing the way home is clear makes the descent feel a little safer.

Diamond ore exposed in the ceiling above the underground stairs

Diamond ore appears in the ceiling.
Today I leave it where it is and keep going, but I will remember where I saw it.

A skeleton spawner and chest seen through a peephole in the dungeon wall

Through a little hole in the wall, I can see a mossy room beyond.
There it is: a skeleton spawner and a chest!

Fighting a skeleton at the entrance to the underground dungeon

A skeleton immediately begins firing arrows as I step inside.
Fighting in a narrow passage never feels relaxing.

A skeleton spawner lit with a torch inside the dungeon

After I place a torch on the spawner, the room becomes much easier to see.
Now I can look around calmly before opening the chests.

The second dungeon chest with a name tag, a record, and gold inside

The second chest holds a name tag, a record, and gold.
Finding that mixture underground feels like a small treasure hunt.

The suited man holding a name tag in the dungeon

With the name tag in hand, I take one more look around the dungeon.
Once the chests are open, this place begins to feel like it could become a workshop for bones and arrows.

Turning It into a Workshop with Water and a Collection Chest

The suited man standing in the widened spawning room

I widen the room around the spawner and make a place for the skeletons to fall.
Standing in the middle, the small dungeon already looks very different.

Filling a bucket from a stone-lined pool above ground

I fill buckets from the pool above ground.
These two buckets are the beginning of the waterway below.

Water flowing around the spawning room with the skeleton spawner in the middle

When I let the water run around the spawning room, it makes a path toward the drop point.
The room is slowly becoming more than a place I happened to find.

A collection chest holding arrows, bones, and a bow

Opening the collection chest reveals arrows, bones, and even a bow.
Across two short runs this time, 33 arrows, 26 bones, and one bow collect here.

Bone meal at an underground crafting table after the suited man was badly hurt

By the time I make bone meal, a skeleton’s arrows have already left me badly hurt.
Even with the workshop taking shape, leaving the doorway open is no time to relax.

A Small Flower Brought Back to the Garden

A dandelion blooming after bone meal is used on grass in the Nanban botanical garden

Back above ground, I try the bone meal on the grass in the botanical garden.
One dandelion makes what I brought back from the dark underground feel connected to the garden.

The suited man with a parrot on his shoulder in front of the botanical garden

At last, I take a short rest outside the garden with a parrot on my shoulder.
The bones and arrows from the dungeon should be useful for life in the castle town from now on.

Next time, I would like to use the bone meal from this workshop to help the area around the botanical garden grow a little more.

That is all for this time.
Greetings.
