I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
While exploring the Minecraft world, I sometimes find monster spawners in caves and other dark places.
At the time of this Minecraft PE world, I had seen something interesting.
A monster spawner could be collected as an item.
This is an older Minecraft PE log, from version 1.2.3 on Android, in survival mode, normal difficulty, with no mods.
So please read it as a record from that time.
A Monster Spawner That Can Be Collected, Even If It Has No Use
Near the village base, I once found a monster spawner.
That happened back in Episode 6.
At that time, a creeper explosion broke the monster spawner.
And when that happened, the spawner dropped as an item.
As you can see, it could be picked up.
I will say this first.
Even if I placed this spawner block again, it did not start spawning monsters like a real monster spawner.
It seemed to need something else to activate it, perhaps something like spawn eggs in creative mode.
So for me, it was not a working monster spawner.
It was more like a rare block.
Trying to Collect a Monster Spawner with TNT
Now, I go to collect another spawner block.
Breaking it with a pickaxe, even with Silk Touch, would simply destroy it in this world.
But because I had seen a creeper explosion turn one into an item, I wondered if TNT could do the same thing.
So I placed TNT and blew it up.
After the explosion, there it is.
It is a little hard to see because it is dark, but the spawner block has become an item and is floating there.
I can pick it up, and it goes into the inventory.
Again, I could not use it as a functioning monster spawner.
So its practical use was limited.
Still, as a rare building material, it felt rather special.
The flow of collecting the spawner was also recorded in a video at the time.
In Season 3, in a newer Java Edition world, I later came across a cave spider spawner deep inside a mineshaft.
The details are different, but the feeling around spawners is still scary.
In Season 3 Episode 19, I explored a mineshaft with cave spiders and diamond.
