I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
Last time, I finished exploring the huge mineshaft.
It had become almost like a little trip, with me staying inside the mineshaft for quite a while, but the final result was excellent.
I collected more than four large chests of items.
The problem is moving them.
The mineshaft is a little far from the village I use as my base. If I carried everything in my own inventory, I do not know how many round trips I would need.
That sounds painful.
I do not want to do that.
I can use an Ender Chest to help, but even then, I still need to move back and forth.
Then I thought of a donkey.
A donkey is a wonderful animal mob that can carry a chest.
For moving this much loot, surely a donkey would be a great help.
So I set out on a journey to find one.
Before finding a donkey, though, I found something else.
A village.
Setting Out to Search for a Useful Donkey
I had wanted to bring a donkey into the group for a while.
Now, with all the loot from the mineshaft waiting to be moved, a donkey had become absolutely necessary.
Please lend me your strength, dear donkey.
Ah, the sunset is beautiful.
The outside air feels nice after so much time underground.
After taking one night of rest back at the village, I quickly left again to search for a donkey.
Taking a Lead and Saddle on the Journey
For now, the most important item to bring is a lead.
If I find a donkey, I can pull it back with the lead.
I also brought a saddle.
Donkeys apparently appear in places where horses spawn, but they are rather rare.
I mounted my horse and headed for the first place I had in mind.
I had two possible destinations.
They were places where I remembered seeing many horses during previous explorations.
According to a divine message, donkeys can appear in plains and savanna biomes, so I first headed toward the area near my initial spawn where there had been many animals.
The area really did have many animals.
It looked almost like a petting zoo.
But there were llamas, cows, and pigs everywhere.
No donkey.
The llamas are cute too.
I should come back for them another time.
Finding a Village Before Finding a Donkey
It did not seem like I would find a donkey near the initial spawn area, so I returned to the village once.
I had plenty of saddles, so I left my horse there and went out again with a saddle, thinking I might look for both a donkey and a stronger horse.
There was another area near the village where I remembered seeing many horses.
There were certainly many horses.
But even after seeing around ten of them, I still did not find a donkey.
The chance may sound simple, but reality is not that kind.
Just when I thought I had reached the end of the horse area and expanded my search a little more…
Wait.
A village appeared.
I had found a new village not too far from my base village.
This was supposed to be a donkey-searching trip, so I had not brought fences or anything for village work.
Panic, panic.
Night was coming, so I calmed down and slept in a bed.
After morning came, I decided to build a small marker tower.
I placed water around the block at the bottom, so getting down should be easy.
So.
I went out looking for a donkey and unexpectedly found a village.
I was a little disappointed that I still had not found a donkey, but this discovery helped my spirits.
It is not too far from the base village, so when I have more time, I would like to take care of this village too.
