Greetings.
I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
Lately, I have been developing the base village to make everyday life more comfortable.
This time, I am building a crop farm that uses flowing water to harvest everything at once. First, however, I need to level the land. The village has many changes in elevation, so that alone will be a serious job.
Still, once the farm is complete, harvesting should become much easier and trading with the villagers should go more smoothly.
A farm that harvests crops with flowing water

The base was becoming more useful, but there was still plenty to improve. I chose this broad area for the new farm and began by clearing it.
Leveling the land and building the farm

I had started confidently, but the area was much larger than it first appeared. The work seemed endless.

At last, the ground was level. It took an unreasonable amount of time, but after adding a few torches, I could finally start the farm itself.

The plan was simple: water would break the mature crops, carry the dropped items to hoppers, and send them into a chest.

I arranged the mechanism so that pressing a button would release the water.

The circuit also needed a delay to control the flow properly.

At the highest point, I placed a dispenser containing a water bucket. The button would tell it when to release the water.

With the machinery ready, I tilled the soil.

Then came a test. The water swept over the rows just as intended, breaking the mature crops and carrying them downward.

After I left it for a while, the villagers planted several kinds of crops. Now, with one press of the button, all their hard work came flowing toward the collection point.
This was wonderfully easy. It would also make gathering crops for trades much more convenient.
That is all for this time.
Greetings.
