Greetings.
I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
Last time, I decided on a village house and started calling it home.
But a house is not enough.
The road around it is still dark.
This time, I want food, coal, and more torches.
Not because I suddenly became brave.
Because I have finally learned that a dark road makes every small trip dangerous.
First, I Recover With Bread
I begin with hay.

I turn hay into wheat.
Then wheat into bread.
Bread is simple, but it is reliable.
For a man who has eaten too much rotten flesh already, bread feels very civilized.

There is also the carrot field.
When I am in a village, I can feel food nearby.
That alone is comforting.
I am still clumsy, but the village is helping me live.
That is why I want to keep improving the area around it.
If the village gives me food and shelter, the least I can do is bring back a little light.

And now I have a stone pickaxe.
Compared with the days when I only had wooden tools, this is progress.
Small progress, but progress.
I Do Not Have Enough Torches
The problem is light.

At this point, I only have a few torches.
That is not enough to light the road from the house to the village path.
It is certainly not enough to make the night feel safe.
I need coal.
There Was Coal Under the Village
I prepare bread and tools and head toward the lower area near the village.

Bread.
Tools.
This looks more prepared than usual.
I appreciate that.
Then, near the village, I find coal.
Not far away.
Not deep in some grand cave.
Right near the village.
I mine it with the stone pickaxe and make more torches.
Coal is such a plain block.
But at this stage, plain is exactly what I need.
No grand treasure.
Just fuel for light.
Extending Light From the Entrance to the Road
First, I place light near the house entrance.

Just having a torch by the door changes the feeling.
When I open the door and see light outside, I feel less alone.
It is a small thing.
But in Minecraft, small lights matter.
Lighting the Village Road With Torches
Now I extend the light toward the village road.

Oh.
Bright.
This is what I wanted.
The road is still the same road.
The village is still the same village.
But with torches, it feels different.
It feels like I can walk here at night without completely panicking.
Night Is Still Scary
Of course, this does not solve everything.
Night is still night.
If I get careless, danger will come quickly.

But the torches remain.
The light I placed is still there.
That makes me happy.
This time, I found coal under the village, made more torches, and lit the path toward home.
Next time, I may be able to go farther.
Maybe toward iron.
But only if I keep food and tools ready.
I have learned not to be too confident (laughs)
The road is brighter now.
That does not mean I am safe.
It only means I have one less reason to panic.
That is all for this time.
Greetings.
