I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
Last time, I built a water-flow farm and lodging for villagers in the castle town.
With daily life becoming a little more settled, I decide to travel to a distant forest for the first time in a while.
I am looking for a pale white forest I have never seen before.
With equipment and food in hand, I leave the castle town.
Villagers and the Iron Golem see me off as I head away from town for a while.
A pale forest beyond the dark forest
As I walk, I enter a dark forest with large trees.
It is dim even in daytime, and a little unsettling.
Then the colour of the trees suddenly changes.
Beyond the dark forest lies a greyish white wood: the Pale Garden!
Inside, pale trunks and hanging moss fill the view, all the way down to the ground.
It feels like a different world from every forest I have walked through before.
An unfamiliar little flower grows at my feet.
During the day, its pale petals are closed.
I wonder what it will do at night.
Night flowers and a Creaking
At night, the same flower opens.
Its centre glows orange, like a small light floating in the white forest.
Before it gets too late, I cut some pale oak to take home.
The light-coloured logs look as if they may work well in the castle town.
But the night forest holds more than flowers and trees.
A wooden shape with glowing eyes appears: a Creaking!
Looking up at a nearby tree, I find something pulsing orange inside the trunk.
It appears to be a Creaking Heart.
When I attack the Creaking, bright resin seeps from the nearby Heart onto the surrounding wood.
Its colour stands out sharply in the grey forest.
Bringing pale wood and resin back home
I return with 13 pale oak logs, 13 moss blocks, and one resin clump.
Pale wood and orange resin are new colours for my castle town.
When the familiar town comes into sight, I breathe a little easier.
I place a small decoration with the pale wood right away.
Even this little touch gives the town a new colour.
Next time, I would like to turn the materials from the Pale Garden into something a little larger.
