I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
Last time, I built an Armadillo ranch and a kennel for my armored wolf.
Since then, I have named the armored wolf Yuki.
With such dependable armor, I decide to take Yuki into the night forest and see how it fares.
Leaving for the night forest with Yuki
At the ranch care station, I prepare a sword, torches, food, Armadillo scutes, and shears.
After a fight, I can take the armor off and look at its condition.
With preparations complete, Yuki and I leave the ranch.
Usually Yuki stays near the kennel, but today this wolf is my dependable partner.
We walk side by side through town toward the forest.
The armored figure beside me makes the coming night feel a little less worrying.
Soon the sun sets, and the forest becomes very dark.
I place torches and move carefully with Yuki, never knowing what may be behind the trees.
Fighting zombies and skeletons together
After a while, I spot a zombie beyond the trees.
I take some hard hits myself, eat cooked beef to recover, and fight alongside Yuki.
Yuki rushes at the zombie and attacks firmly.
Even with skeleton arrows flying, the armored wolf keeps stepping forward.
After the fight, Yuki’s health is still full.
Instead, the Wolf Armor has gone from durability 64 to 33.
It seems to have taken the attacks for Yuki.
Repairing the worn armor with Armadillo scutes
I use the shears to take the armor off and check it in the inventory.
The bar is about half gone, which shows how much work it did in the night forest.
I put the armor back on Yuki and use the scutes I brought for care.
In this outing, one scute restores eight durability.
With four scutes, the durability returns to 64 and the armor is full again!
Armadillo scutes are important not only for making armor, but for repairing it after an adventure as well.
Once morning comes, Yuki and I return to the castle town.
Coming back to the familiar kennel is a relief.
Yuki fights bravely in the night forest, and the armor takes the attacks.
With Armadillos at the ranch, I can care for worn armor with their scutes.
It feels as if we can go adventuring together again.
