I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
Last time, I defeated the Ender Dragon and saw the egg left above the exit portal.
Today I am going back for that egg.
Then I want to cross to the outer islands and look for an End City and an End Ship.
Collecting the Dragon Egg and Reaching the Outer Islands
I return to the End, where the last battle took place.
Standing on the obsidian again makes that long fight feel unexpectedly close.
The dragon egg is still above the exit portal.
Last time I could only look at it. This time, I want to try picking it up.
With a torch, I manage to collect the dragon egg!
After waiting so long to touch it, I cannot help letting out a little cheer.
From the edge of the island, I step onto a narrow bridge over the void.
There is nothing beneath it, so I watch each step and cross slowly.
An End Gateway comes into view beyond the bridge.
On the other side are islands I have never seen before.
Chorus plants stand all around me on the outer island.
Endermen wander among them. It is quiet here, but I do not dare relax.
Another thin bridge waits ahead.
I keep my eyes on the distant island and move one step at a time, trying not to look down.
From the End City Towers to the Ship in the Sky
At last, the towers of an End City appear!
There are Endermen near the tower, too. I check the ground and the entrance without meeting their eyes.
The bridge toward the next island is only one block wide.
The void is on both sides, and my attention stays on the block beneath my feet.
Looking down from a high crossing, I can see the End City buildings and islands far below.
I keep going in the direction where the ship should be.
I stop for a moment on an End City platform.
The narrow bridge over the void is still visible behind me, and the search for the ship continues.
Before crossing to the ship, I raise my bow toward a Shulker.
I look for a way across while trying to avoid its attacks.
Finding the Dragon Head and Elytra on the End Ship
A Shulker is waiting in the ship’s treasure room.
Beyond it, I can see the Elytra I came looking for in an item frame!
After taking the Elytra from the frame, I open the ship’s chest.
Inside are iron, gold, and a diamond shovel, among other things.
In my inventory, I can also see the small icons for the dragon head from the bow and the Elytra.
From high on the ship, I look down toward the island below.
With an Ender Pearl in hand, I check the way back.
The narrow bridge toward the chorus-covered island is still waiting on the return journey.
I cross back over the void even more carefully than before.
Through the darkness, the return End Gateway finally comes into view.
From here, the forward base is not far away.
I make it back to the entrance of the forward base at last.
The dragon head and Elytra from the ship have come back with me!
Next time, I will think about what to do with the things found on this long journey through the End.
