Greetings.
I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
Last time, I found a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template in a Bastion Remnant.
But a template alone does not make Netherite.
I need Ancient Debris.
This time, I am going deep into the Nether to look for it.
Mining Near Nether Y15
At the village warehouse, I prepared a diamond pickaxe, beds, torches, and Potions of Fire Resistance.

Ancient Debris is usually buried inside solid blocks rather than exposed to the air. So I went down near Y15 in the Nether and began digging a horizontal tunnel.

Night Vision is helpful in a dark tunnel.
Seeing ahead makes me a little less worried about lava.
Only a little less.
Looking Inside the Rock With a Bed Explosion
I had heard that blowing away a lot of Netherrack at once can make Ancient Debris easier to find. At the end of the tunnel, I placed a bed.

I put a solid block between myself and the blast, then stepped back.
Fire Resistance is for lava and fire. It does not protect me from the explosion itself.
For the explosion, I rely on distance, a wall, and my armor.
Here we go.

That hurt.
The blast and the lava both demand attention. Then, among the broken rock, I saw an unfamiliar pattern.

Could that be Ancient Debris?
Something that had been buried inside the rock had finally appeared.
I carefully mined it with my diamond pickaxe.

Lava was close, so I drank a Potion of Fire Resistance.

It makes fire and lava less frightening. Explosions are another matter, so I still need to be careful.
Five Pieces of Ancient Debris, One First Step
After mining through the tunnel, I had collected five pieces of Ancient Debris through normal mining.

There they are in the inventory: five pieces.

It is nowhere near enough to turn all my gear and tools into Netherite. My long-term goal is about thirty-six pieces.
But it is no longer zero. That is a big change.
I returned to the village.

I put the five pieces into the chest for Nether materials in the warehouse.

My first step toward Netherite is complete.
Next, I would like to mine a little more and improve my equipment one piece at a time.
That is all for this time.
Greetings.
