Greetings.
I am a man in a suit who has fallen into the world of Minecraft.
Last time, I completed a Mace and tried its falling smash attack.
It may look as though I have done nothing but go on adventures lately, but I have also been working steadily on the village.
There was the castle I had built and left standing by itself, the half-finished storage area and shopping street, and the Nether portal sitting out in the open.
I have finally connected them all into a castle town where 22 villagers now live.
This time, I would like to show you around the village that has at last become a proper base for my adventures.
Building the Village into a Castle Town Between Adventures
Let us begin with a view of the whole village.

The castle now stands at the center of a town connected by homes, farmland, a station, and a shopping street.
I built the Japanese-style castle in Episode 16, but then I became rather distracted by my adventures.
The castle remained on its own, while several buildings and paths around the village were still incomplete.
So this time, I did more than simply improve the view. I wanted a village where people could actually walk around and live comfortably.
My first stop is the Nether portal at the edge of the village.

The portal used to stand outside with nothing around it. Now it sits inside a Japanese-style border gate called the Black Gate.
As an entrance to another world, it has a darker and slightly frightening atmosphere compared with the rest of the castle town.
However, when I first thought it was finished and looked at it from the front, the courtyard was hidden behind the embankment.
I had built a gate, but could not even see its front until I was almost there.
That was too disappointing to leave alone, so I rebuilt the courtyard and made a straight approach to the gate.

The same Nether portal I have always used is still working inside the Black Gate.
I also adjusted the steps and dark corners around the entrance. I can now walk into the Nether normally and return through the portal to the Black Gate.
Walking around after the work was finished revealed all sorts of inconveniences that were easy to miss from a distance: the gate threshold, the space beneath the roof, and the narrow paths behind buildings.
It seems a town is not truly finished just because the building is done.
Walking from the Castle to the Shopping Street and the Homes of 22 Villagers
Walking from the Black Gate toward the castle brings me into the shopping street.

The storage buildings and shops that once stood separately are now connected by a stone-paved street.
Barrels and chests sit beneath the eaves, with lanterns lighting the way.
I hope this feels a little more like a proper castle-town workplace for the librarians who traded Mending books with me in Episode 24.
Beyond the shopping street are the villagers’ homes.

It is quite lively inside.
There are now 22 villagers living here.
The residence has 28 usable beds, enough for everyone with a little room to spare.
I also arranged work areas for the different professions instead of providing beds alone.
An Iron Golem is here to watch over them as well.

Leaving the white-walled timber residence, I find farmland and roads stretching ahead.
The village has grown considerably since the baby villager was born in Episode 15.
Still, having more villagers does not automatically make the village safe.
After failing to protect the villagers one night in Episode 13, I made the gates, lighting, fences around dangerous drops, and lightning rods a priority this time.
I cannot yet say that the town is fully prepared for a raid.
Even so, I think it is becoming a place where everyone can spend an ordinary night with a little more peace of mind.

There really are a lot of villagers now.
Sometimes so many gather in a narrow passage that I can hardly move past them.
A quiet village has its charm, but hearing voices and seeing people moving around makes this place feel much more like a town.
Riding from the Village Station to the XP Farm
I also built a new station near the residential area.

A minecart waits at the platform, and I can depart by pressing the button without getting out.
The railway leads to the XP farm beneath the village.
Let us take a ride.
After following the underground track for about 26 seconds…

I arrive at the station by the farm.
The minecart stops at this platform too, and I can press a button from my seat to return to the village.
A protected passage from the station leads to the zombie spawner XP farm I built in Episode 23.
I used to walk all the way underground to reach it. Now I can travel there directly from the village station.
Repairing equipment and collecting experience for enchanting should be much easier from now on.
After walking through the whole town, I return to the Black Gate.

The Black Gate leads to the Nether.
The village station leads to the XP farm.
Beyond the shopping street are the castle and the homes of 22 villagers.
At last, the place I return to after an adventure feels less like a simple village and more like a true base.

When I first built the castle, I never imagined the town would grow this large.
I leave on an adventure, make mistakes, and eventually return to the village again.
Now the way home has the Black Gate, a station, and the voices of the villagers waiting for me.
I will try to look after this place properly, so that my next adventure does not leave it in ruins.
That is all for this time.
Greetings.
